Shorthand is an abbreviated symbolic writing method that increases speed and brevity of writing as compared to longhand, a more common method of writing a language.Shorthand was designed with one purpose in mind:There are three major methods for writing shorthand: the Teeline method, which is used commonly by journalists, the Pitman method, and the Gregg method, which is used widely by stenographers. Each method has its own strengths and weaknesses, but choosing any technique will increase the speed at which you can write, making taking notes, jotting down thoughts during class or a meeting, or simply writing a document much faster and easier To allow writers to create content faster. The methods people have used for shorthand have changed throughout the years, but the purpose was always the same.This method drastically reduces the time it will take to learn shorthand because rather than learning an entire system of symbols, you’re simply learning how to use a particular type of software. Shorthand is any system of accelerated handwriting used for the transcription of the spoken word.
