A qualified rigger is defined as a qualified person who, by possession of a recognized degree, certificate or professional standing, or who by extensive knowledge, training and experience, successfully demonstrated the ability to solve/resolve problems relating to rigging. This course brings all of the rigging concerns into focus for a practical, field proven method of ensuring rigging safety.
Course Overview:
This program includes technical training and the required examination to meet OSHA standards. The course illustrates the proper use and pre-use inspection of rigging gear, slings and below-the-hook lifting devices to ensure those who complete training are competent.
Qualified Rigger Level 1 training provides the training necessary for an employer to designate a person to work as a competent basic level rigger. Training satisfies qualification requirements for the construction industry, OSHA §1926 Subpart CC, General Industry OSHA §1910, and other required qualifications for training. Persons attending this program will learn pre-use inspection, proper use, and application of rigging gear. Course focus includes making sure all participants fully understand sling hitches, proper rigging gear assemblies, and working load limits.
Our Rigger Level 1 Course provides the necessary training to meet the OSHA and ASME standards of a Rigger. This 5-6 hour self-paced online multi-media course covers OSHA regulations, the use and inspection of slings, rigging hardware, load weight and other areas critical to understanding and operating a safe job site, allowing the rigger trainee to work under the supervised direction of a Qualified Rigger “Certified”.
CANDIDATE RIGHTS
a All candidates will receive certification and ID cards upon certification.
b The candidate has the right to reschedule the examination by informing Velosi Certification Services
not less than two working days prior the examination time.
c All information received from the applicants, candidates or certified persons and information obtained
during the certification process is not disclosed to an unauthorized party without the written consent
of the individual applicant, candidate or certified person, except where the law requires such
information to be disclosed.
d When Velosi Certification Services is required by law to release confidential information, the applicant,
candidate or certified person will be notified as to what information will be provided
e All applicants, candidates or certified persons can raise a complaint in case of any dissatisfaction by
sending email to Velosi Certification including all details of his complaints
f All applicants, candidates or certified persons can raise an appeal against the certification decisions by
sending email to Velosi Certification Services provided email address including all details of his appeal
g For an applicant with special needs has opportunity to declare, within reason, a request for
accommodation.
h If the candidate not passing the first written or practical or both has the right to re-sit for 50% of
exam fees for one time only, then he fails his re-sit exam, he will require to re-register for reattendance from the beginning with full charge
