DIT stands for Diploma in Information Technology is 1 year diploma program offered by Board of Technical Education (BTE) Peshawar having two semesters. The purpose of this program to be able student in practical training such as: Use of computer with various operating system.DIT - Diploma in Information Technology related to analysis, programming, computer organization, data management, systems development, computer communications, and professional practice and systems principles. The demand for information technology (IT) professionals has grown rapidly in the last decade. This main objective is to equipping students with the technical knowledge required for an IT environment and also developing skills in understanding IT applications in various corporate businesses and banking sectors.Well 'programme intended to develop high quality information technology manpower to meet the needs of industry and educational institutions as well as prepare candidates for advanced study in the field of information technology and computer science.Diploma in Information Technology is a Diploma level Information Technology course. Information Technology is the acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by a microelectronics-based combination of computing and telecommunication.Keeping in view the ever increasing market demand of trained and skilled computer professionals, this college launched the DIT course back in 2011 in affiliation with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Technical Education, Pehaswar. Since then many students have successfully completed this course and are now serving in various public sector as well as private sector organisations as Computer Operators / Data Processing Assistants.

Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) is a one year course comprised of two terms duration of six months each. It is totally based on computer skills and knowledge. Major part of this course is practical based.
