Scaffold User course addresses both the federal OSHA standards and Cal/OSHA
standards for working on and around scaffolding and the differences between the two. Participants will learn to identify the tools, materials, components, and requirements for this scope of work as well as the associated hazards. In addition, participants will learn the responsibilities of the Competent Person, how to calculate the maximum height of rolling tower scaffold and maximum
loads for a variety of scaffolds. Participants will also practice identifying inadequacies or violations in sample scaffolding.
This course is designed for anyone who is involved in working at heights using scaffold. This session will give an appreciation of the hazards and controls measures for scaffolds and how to ensure if the erected platform is safe to use or not.
